He’s still watching. The movement of the painting incite some conflict with the blue eye and tries to overwrite it. The red background also gives us a sense of combat somehow, that it might become necessary for you to fight the eye.
For this work, I used some pouring technique to give it a sense of urgency. Also used sponges and brushes to blend. To create layers and dimensions I used a palette knife.
