Is the oasis real or just your interpretation of “reality”?
Abstract Painting: Hidden Oasis, acrylic on canvas, 12 H x 15.9 W x 0.6 in
Sometimes I feel like abstract art involves a lot of hiding. We paint and we paint over it again, creating layers and textures. And this, in a way represents that hiding and discovering. The discovery of the hidden oasis may or may not be real.
For this work I used a dripping technique but more like a washing technique with a water spray. It is mostly done with a sponge and some palette knife work.
